Product Specific Information

This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific immunogen affinity chromatography. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Target Information

Ribosomes are organelles responsible for catalyzing protein synthesis, composed of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. The RPL14 gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is part of the 60S subunit and belongs to the L14E family. It contains a basic region-leucine zipper (bZIP)-like domain and is localized in the cytoplasm.
This gene includes a highly polymorphic trinucleotide (GCT) repeat, resulting in a variable stretch of alanine residues. Multiple transcript variants exist but encode the same protein. As typical for ribosomal protein genes, multiple processed pseudogenes are dispersed throughout the genome.
