Ezrin은 세포질 말단막 단백질로, 미세융모 내에서 단백질-티로신 키나아제의 기질로 작용합니다. ERM 단백질 패밀리의 일원으로서, 세포막과 액틴 세포골격 사이의 매개체 역할을 합니다. 이 단백질은 세포 표면 구조, 부착, 이동, 조직화에 중요한 역할을 하며, 다양한 인간 암과 관련이 있는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 또한 염색체 3에 위치한 유사유전자(pseudogene)가 보고되어 있으며, 여러 전사 변이체가 존재합니다.
