Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Antizyme inhibitor (AZIN1) is a protein that positively regulates ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) activity and polyamine uptake.
AZIN1 acts as an enzymatically inactive ODC homolog that counteracts the inhibitory effect of ODC antizymes (OAZ1, OAZ2, OAZ3) by competing with ODC for antizyme binding.
This inhibition prevents ODC degradation and releases ODC monomers from inactive complexes, promoting formation of catalytically active ODC homodimers and restoring polyamine production.
