Target Information

RalA is a multifunctional GTPase involved in diverse cellular processes such as gene expression, cell migration, proliferation, oncogenic transformation, and membrane trafficking. It functions as a GTP sensor for exocytosis of dense core vesicles and is essential for cytokinesis by tethering the exocyst to the cytokinetic furrow. The RALA-exocyst complex regulates integrin-dependent membrane raft exocytosis and growth signaling. It also modulates LPAR1 signaling by competing with GRK2, influencing receptor signaling properties. RalA is required for anchorage-independent proliferation of transformed cells.
