Product Specific Information

Description:
The MIH5 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse B7-H1 (PD-L1), a member of the B7 family with a predicted molecular weight of ~40 kDa. B7-H1 is expressed on leukocytes including T, B, NK, and DC cells, and serves as a ligand for PD-1. Interaction of PD-1 with PD-L1 or PD-L2 inhibits T and B cell responses. MIH5 is reported to be a blocking antibody.

Applications Reported:
Use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended use ≤ 0.125 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Optimize antibody titration for best performance.

Target Information

Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, B7-H1) is a B7 family member that binds PD-1, negatively regulating T-cell receptor signaling. PD-L1 ligation decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 expression is abundant in murine and human cancers and upregulated by IFN-γ, suggesting a role in tumor immune evasion.
