Target Information
CD81 (TAPA-1, target of anti-proliferative antibody-1)은 tetraspanin 계열 단백질로, 대부분의 핵이 있는 세포에서 발현되며 특히 germinal center B 세포에서 높게 나타납니다.
CD81은 다른 tetraspanin 단백질, integrin, coreceptor, MHC class I 및 II 분자와 복합체를 형성하여 세포의 부착, 형태, 활성화, 증식 및 분화에 영향을 줍니다.
근육에서는 세포 융합과 myotube 유지에 관여하며, 또한 hepatitis C virus의 수용체로 알려져 있습니다.
CD81은 CD9, CD37, CD53, CD63, CD82 등과 함께 네 개의 소수성 도메인을 가진 세포막 단백질군에 속합니다. 이러한 단백질은 세포 발달, 활성화, 성장 및 이동 조절에 관여하는 신호전달을 매개합니다.
CD81은 integrin과 복합체를 형성하며, CD19, CD21, Leu 13과 결합하여 만성 간염 C 바이러스의 envelope 단백질 E2의 수용체로 작용합니다.
CD81에 대한 항체는 특히 대세포 림프종 유래 세포주에서 항증식 효과를 보입니다. 또한 종양억제 유전자 영역에 위치하여 악성종양의 후보 유전자로 간주됩니다.
