Target Information
CD81 (TAPA-1, target of anti-proliferative antibody-1)는 tetraspanin 계열 단백질로, 대부분의 핵을 가진 세포에서 발현되며 특히 germinal center B 세포에서 높게 발현됩니다.
CD81은 다른 tetraspanin 단백질, integrin, coreceptor, MHC class I 및 II 분자와 복합체를 형성하여 세포의 부착, 형태, 활성화, 증식, 분화에 영향을 미칩니다.
근육 세포에서는 세포 융합 및 myotube 유지에 관여하며, 또한 hepatitis C virus의 수용체로 알려져 있습니다.
CD81은 세포 발달, 활성화, 성장, 운동성 조절에 중요한 신호 전달에 관여하는 세포 표면 당단백질입니다.
CD81은 CD19, CD21, Leu 13, integrin과 상호작용하며, 항-CD81 항체는 여러 림프종 세포주에서 항증식 효과를 보입니다.
또한 CD81은 종양 억제 유전자 영역에 위치하며, 악성 종양 관련 후보 유전자로 제시됩니다.
