Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This antibody is directed against the FLAG™ epitope tag and is useful for detecting FLAG-tagged proteins in various assays. It recognizes the FLAG™ epitope tag (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) fused to either the amino- or carboxy-terminus of target proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
Target Information
The DYKDDDDK (FLAG) tag is a short peptide sequence commonly used as a protein tag for purification, detection, and localization. It consists of eight amino acids: Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys. The tag can be fused to the N- or C-terminus of a protein, enabling easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies.
The FLAG tag is highly hydrophilic, minimizing interference with protein folding and function. It is widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry for protein-protein interaction studies, expression analysis, and localization experiments.
