Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is placenta tissue.
Target Information
Beta actin is one of six actin isoforms identified in humans. It is a non-muscle cytoskeletal protein expressed in all human cell types and is crucial for cell motility, structure, and integrity.
Beta and gamma actins coexist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton. Polymerization of globular actin (G-actin) forms filamentous actin (F-actin), a two-stranded helical structure.
Due to its ubiquitous expression, beta actin is often used as a loading control in protein detection assays such as Western blotting.
Antibodies to beta-actin are valuable tools for studying intracellular distribution and cytoskeletal dynamics.
