GenScript Rabbit Anti-V5-tag [HRP] Polyclonal Antibody is highly purified from rabbit antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography and then conjugated to horseradish peroxidase.
This antibody is suitable for detecting fusion proteins that contain V5-tags.
Target Information
Epitope tags provide a method to localize gene products in various cell types, study protein topology and complexes, identify associated proteins, and characterize newly identified or low-abundance proteins when specific antibodies are unavailable.
The V5 epitope tag is derived from a small epitope (Pk) present on the P and V proteins of the simian virus 5 (SV5). It typically uses all 14 amino acids (GKPIPNPLLGLDST), though a shorter 9 amino acid sequence (IPNPLLGLD) is also used.
