Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of IGF1R/Insulin Receptor only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 1161.
Target Information
IGF1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor) is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by IGF-1 and IGF-2. It is implicated in various cancers and functions as a tetramer composed of two α and two β subunits. The α-subunits bind IGF-1 with higher affinity than IGF-2, triggering conformational changes and autophosphorylation at Tyr1134, Tyr1135, and Tyr1136. Activated IGF1R subsequently phosphorylates substrate proteins, activating RAS, RAF, and MAPK pathways (ERK, p38, JNK), leading to gene transcription that promotes proliferation.
