Product Specific Information
This 1A6 monoclonal antibody recognizes the hemagglutinin-neuraminidase (HN) protein of Sendai virus. It has been validated for use in flow cytometry and immunocytochemistry and has been reported to neutralize Sendai virus.
The CTS CytoTune-iPS 2.1 and 2.0 Sendai Reprogramming Kits use Sendai virus particles to deliver Yamanaka factors into target cells for reprogramming into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC). Clone 1A6 can be used to detect residual Sendai virus following transduction and culture.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of Sendai virus-infected cells. Recommended ≤0.06 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize concentration empirically.

Target Information
Sendai virus is a single-stranded RNA respirovirus from the Paramyxoviridae family. It replicates in the respiratory tract and infects mammals such as mice, hamsters, rats, and guinea pigs. The Hemagglutinin-Neuraminidase (HN) protein mediates viral attachment and entry by binding and cleaving terminal sialic acids on host cell glycoproteins.
