Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Many vertebrate homeobox-containing genes have been identified based on sequence similarity with Drosophila developmental genes. Members of the Dlx gene family contain a homeobox related to that of Distal-less (Dll), expressed in the head and limbs of developing fruit flies. The Distal-less (Dlx) family includes at least six members (DLX1–DLX6). DLX proteins are believed to play roles in forebrain and craniofacial development. The DLX2 gene is located in a tail-to-tail configuration with another Dlx family member on chromosome 2.
