Target Information
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes encoding secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and various developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis.
WNT10B may be involved in breast cancer, acting as a molecular switch governing adipogenesis.
This protein shares 96% amino acid identity with the mouse Wnt10b protein and is clustered with WNT1 on chromosome 12q13.
