Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
TPMT catalyzes the S-methylation of thiopurine drugs such as 6-mercaptopurine.
Defects in TPMT cause thiopurine S-methyltransferase deficiency (TPMT deficiency), affecting the metabolism of thiopurine drugs used as immunosuppressants or cytotoxic agents.
Patients with reduced or absent TPMT activity are at risk of drug toxicity, and genetic variation at the TPMT locus largely determines individual response to these drugs.
