Target Information
FUT4 (Fucosyltransferase 4) is a protein-coding gene associated with diseases such as Colon Adenocarcinoma and Liver Lymphoma. It participates in glycosphingolipid biosynthesis (lacto and neolacto series) and mannose-type O-glycan biosynthesis pathways.
FUT4 exhibits fucosyltransferase and alpha-(1→3)-fucosyltransferase activity, transferring fucose to N-acetyllactosamine polysaccharides to form fucosylated carbohydrate structures, including the non-sialylated antigen Lewis x (CD15).
