Product Specific Information
This peptide corresponds to 16 amino acids at the amino terminus of human DR3.
PEP-0015 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-19886.
Target Information
DR3 (TNFRSF25) is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor is expressed preferentially in tissues enriched in lymphocytes and may play a role in regulating lymphocyte homeostasis. It has been shown to stimulate NF-kappa B activity and regulate cell apoptosis. Signal transduction is mediated by various death domain-containing adaptor proteins. Knockout studies in mice suggest DR3/TNFRSF25 plays a role in removing self-reactive T cells in the thymus. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported, most of which are potentially secreted molecules. Alternative splicing in B and T cells undergoes a programmed change upon T-cell activation, predominantly producing full-length, membrane-bound isoforms involved in controlling lymphocyte proliferation induced by T-cell activation.
