Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are highly conserved and abundantly expressed proteins involved in multiple cellular processes, including assembly of multiprotein complexes, protein folding, and transport across membranes.
They are classified into six major families: HSP90, HSP70, HSP60, low molecular weight HSPs, immunophilins, and HSP110.
The low molecular weight HSP family includes HSP10, HSP20, HSP27, HSP32, and HSP40.
HSP10 (also known as GroES in E. coli) forms a heptameric ring structure that associates with GroEL, facilitating ATP-dependent protein folding.
