Target Information
TCF-9 (transcription factor 9), also known as C2orf3, GCF, or DNABF, is a 781 amino acid nuclear protein belonging to the GCF family. It binds GC-rich sequences in promoters such as beta-Actin, EGFR, and CANP. GCF contains multiple phosphoserine and phosphothreonine residues, and two isoforms are produced via alternative splicing. It is considered a candidate gene for dyslexia susceptibility (DYX3) due to its proximity on human chromosome 2, which encodes over 1,400 genes and comprises approximately 8% of the human genome.
