Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
ERK1 and ERK2 are widely expressed kinases involved in the regulation of meiosis, mitosis, and postmitotic functions in differentiated cells. They are activated by various stimuli including growth factors, cytokines, viral infection, and G protein-coupled receptor ligands.
Upon activation:
- Ras interacts with Raf, activating it.
- Raf phosphorylates MEK1/2.
- MEK1/2 phosphorylates ERK1/2 on tyrosine/threonine residues.
- Activated ERK translocates to the nucleus and phosphorylates transcription factors such as c-Fos and Elk-1.
