- A 1:1,000 dilution of MA5-45911 was sufficient for detection of Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily, Member 18 in 15 µg of Mouse Skeletal Muscle by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
- Detects 25 kDa.
Target Information
Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 18 (TNFRSF18), also called GITR or AITR, is encoded by the TNFRSF18 gene located at 1p36.33.
This receptor is part of the TNF-receptor superfamily and shows increased expression upon T-cell activation.
It plays a key role in immunological self-tolerance maintained by CD25(+)CD4(+) regulatory T cells.
Knockout studies in mice suggest its involvement in regulation of CD3-driven T-cell activation and programmed cell death.
Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
