Target Information

MAPK1 (ERK2) is a serine/threonine kinase acting as an important activator of p90 RSK, MSK, ELK1, and Stat3, and is involved in the MAPK pathway. MAP kinases (ERKs) serve as integration points for multiple biochemical signals and regulate various cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation, and development. Activation occurs via phosphorylation by upstream kinases, leading to nuclear translocation and phosphorylation of nuclear targets.
