Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. Product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Reactivity occurs against mouse PI3K p110δ subunit. Cross-reactivity is expected against the human protein as the immunogen sequence is 100% identical in both human and mouse. Cross-reactivity is also expected against rat PI3K p110δ.
Target Information
Protein kinases are enzymes that transfer a phosphate group from a phosphate donor, generally the γ-phosphate of ATP, onto an acceptor amino acid in a substrate protein. Through this mechanism, protein kinases mediate most signal transduction in eukaryotic cells, regulating metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement, cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation. With more than 500 gene products, the protein kinase family is one of the largest in eukaryotes, classified into eight major groups based on sequence comparison of their tyrosine (PTK) or serine/threonine (STK) kinase catalytic domains.
