Mouse anti-Horse CD13 antibody, clone CVS19 recognizes the equine CD13 cell surface antigen (Aminopeptidase N), a single-pass type II membrane protein belonging to the peptidase N family with a molecular weight of 150–170 kDa.
Target Information
CD13 (ANPEP) is a 150–170 kDa type II transmembrane zinc-binding ectopeptidase expressed on various cell types. It catalyzes removal of neutral amino acids from small peptides, regulating activation or inactivation of bioactive peptides.
CD13 plays roles in extracellular matrix degradation, antigen processing, and signal transduction. It is involved in inflammatory responses, intercellular contact regulation, cell motility, and vascularization.
CD13 is expressed by granulocytes, monocytes, and myeloid leukemia cells, and its expression is associated with poor prognosis in carcinomas. It functions as an aminopeptidase enzyme and serves as an alpha receptor for coronavirus.
