Target Information
As part of the KICSTOR complex, ITFG2 functions in the amino acid-sensing branch of the TORC1 signaling pathway. It recruits the GATOR1 complex to lysosomal membranes, enabling interaction with GATOR2 and RAG GTPases. ITFG2 negatively regulates mTORC1 signaling in the absence of amino acids, preventing constitutive activation. The KICSTOR complex may also participate in glucose-dependent regulation of mTORC1.
