AA Sequence of Recombinant Protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IGF-I. Anti-Human IGF-I-specific antibody purified by affinity chromatography using immobilized Human IGF-I matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of Human IGF-I, use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL antibody solution (100 µL/well). In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human IGF-I (500-P11Bt) as detection antibody, enables detection of 0.2–0.4 ng/well Recombinant Human IGF-I.

Western Blot:
Use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL for detection of Human IGF-I. Detection limit: 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

IGF1 (Insulin-like growth factor-1) is structurally and functionally related to insulin but exhibits stronger growth-promoting activity. It induces cellular responses such as proliferation, differentiation, migration, and survival across various tissues including muscle, bone, and cartilage.
IGF1 enhances glucose transport and metabolism at lower concentrations than insulin. Circulating IGFs bind to IGFBPs, extending their half-life and aiding tissue targeting.
IGF-I is a potent activator of the AKT signaling pathway, promoting proliferation and inhibiting apoptosis. Mature human IGF-I is 100% homologous with bovine and porcine proteins. Low IGF1 levels are associated with Alzheimer's disease.
Defects in IGF1 gene cause growth factor deficiency, and multiple transcript variants exist.
