This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The DNA sequences encoding immunoreactive rabbit antibodies are cloned and expressed, followed by screening to select optimal clones for production.

This antibody specifically recognizes Human STK4/MST1.
Target Information
STK4 (MST1) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in apoptosis and chromatin condensation. It acts as a stress-activated, pro-apoptotic kinase that, upon caspase cleavage, translocates to the nucleus to induce chromatin condensation and DNA fragmentation.
STK4 is a key component of the Hippo signaling pathway, regulating organ size and tumor suppression by controlling proliferation and apoptosis. The pathway includes a kinase cascade where STK3/MST2 and STK4/MST1, in complex with SAV1, activate LATS1/2 and MOB1, leading to phosphorylation and inactivation of YAP1 and WWTR1/TAZ. This process inhibits nuclear translocation of YAP1, reducing expression of genes involved in proliferation and migration.
STK4/MST1 and STK3/MST2 are essential for repressing hepatocyte proliferation, preventing activation of adult liver stem cells, and inhibiting tumor formation.
