Product Specific Information

The eBioTC11-18H10.1 antibody reacts with mouse IL-17A and is a neutralizing antibody.
Interleukin-17A (IL-17A) is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine promoting inflammatory responses and is elevated in rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection.

Human IL-17A exists as glycosylated 20–30 kDa homodimers and enhances expression of ICAM-1 in fibroblasts. It also stimulates epithelial, endothelial, or fibroblastic cells to secrete IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF, and PGE2.

IL-23-dependent, IL-17A-producing CD4+ T cells (Th-17 cells) represent a distinct subset of Th cells. IFN-γ and IL-4 negatively regulate Th-17 cell generation.

Applications Reported:

  • Capture antibody in mouse IL-17A ELISA and ELISPOT assays
  • Neutralization of IL-17A bioactivity
  • Intracellular staining for flow cytometric analysis

Applications Tested:
Fluorochrome-conjugated eBioTC11-18H10.1 antibody tested by intracellular staining for flow cytometry. Use ≤0.50 µg per test (100 µL final volume).
Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Careful titration recommended for optimal performance.

Optical Properties:
Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 519 nm; Laser: Blue Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.


Target Information

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A, CTLA-8) is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine that promotes inflammatory responses and is elevated in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
IL-17A is a 32 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer (136 amino acids) and signals through IL-17R/CDw217.
It regulates NF-κB and MAPK activities, stimulates IL-6 and COX-2 expression, and enhances nitric oxide production.
