Description:
The JES3-9D7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human interleukin-10 (IL-10).

Applications Reported:
This antibody is reported for use in intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and validated for intracellular staining and flow cytometry. Recommended usage is 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test. A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL, with cell counts ranging from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

IL-10 encodes a cytokine primarily produced by monocytes and some lymphocytes. It regulates immune responses and inflammation by down-regulating Th1 cytokines, MHC class II antigens, and costimulatory molecules on macrophages. IL-10 enhances B cell survival, proliferation, and antibody production, blocks NF-kappa B activity, and modulates the JAK-STAT signaling pathway. Knockout studies indicate IL-10 is essential for intestinal immune regulation. Mutations are linked to increased susceptibility to HIV-1 infection and rheumatoid arthritis. Associated diseases include Graft-Versus-Host Disease and HIV Type 1 infection.
