This affinity purified antibody is directed against human Tlk-1 protein. It reacts with both phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms at the S743 residue (isoform 1).
The antibody will react with all isoforms of Tlk-1.
BLAST analysis suggests reactivity with human, chimpanzee, orangutan, and dog (100% homology).
Cross-reactivity with mouse, rat, and chicken may occur (93% homology).
Reactivity with other species has not been determined.

Target Information

TLK1 (Tousled-like kinase 1) is a nuclear serine/threonine kinase involved in chromatin assembly regulation.
Originally described in Arabidopsis, TLK1 is a target of the DNA damage checkpoint and is rapidly inactivated upon exposure to ionizing radiation.
Inactivation is mediated by the S-phase DNA damage checkpoint, requiring ATM, NBS, and CHK1.
Tousled-like kinases are nuclear serine/threonine kinases potentially involved in chromatin assembly regulation.
