For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Apoptosis Inducing Factor (AIF) is a mitochondrial protein that triggers chromatin condensation and DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
AIF translocates to the nucleus upon apoptotic stimuli, inducing mitochondrial release of cytochrome c and caspase-9.
It is highly conserved between human and mouse and broadly expressed.
Mutations in the AIF gene cause combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency 6, leading to severe mitochondrial encephalomyopathy.
Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants, and a pseudogene is located on chromosome 10.
