Target Information
MSL2 is a component of the histone acetyltransferase complex responsible for histone H4 acetylation at lysine 16, which plays a role in chromatin structure formation.
It acts as an E3 ubiquitin ligase promoting monoubiquitination of histone H2B at Lys-35 (H2BK34Ub), enhancing H3 methylation at Lys-4 and Lys-79, and leading to activation of genes such as HOXA9 and MEIS1.
