Target Information
MSL2 is a component of the histone acetyltransferase complex responsible for histone H4 acetylation at lysine 16, contributing to higher-order chromatin structure formation. It acts as an E3 ubiquitin ligase promoting monoubiquitination of histone H2B at Lys-35 (H2BK34Ub), enhancing H3 methylation (H3K4me, H3K79me) and activating genes such as HOXA9 and MEIS1.
