Target Information

FGR is a SRC-related kinase present in hematopoietic cells. It signals within multiple pathways, including integrin and cytokine receptor pathways. The protein contains N-terminal sites for myristylation and palmitoylation, a PTK domain, and SH2/SH3 domains mediating protein-protein interactions with phosphotyrosine-containing and proline-rich motifs. It localizes to plasma membrane ruffles and functions as a negative regulator of cell migration and adhesion triggered by beta-2 integrin signaling. Overexpressed upon Epstein-Barr virus infection.
