Target Information

FER is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the FPS/FES family. It regulates cell-cell adhesion and mediates signaling from growth factor receptors to the cytoskeleton. FER localizes to both cytoplasm and nucleus, associated with chromatin fraction, suggesting roles in key regulatory processes. It is involved in cellular signaling responses to stimuli such as growth factors and cytokines and may play a role in leukocyte recruitment during innate immune responses.
