This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
This antibody has specificity for Human Pkn1.
Target Information
PKN1 (PRK1) belongs to the protein kinase C superfamily. This kinase is activated by the Rho family of small G proteins and may mediate the Rho-dependent signaling pathway. It can also be activated by phospholipids.
The 3-phosphoinositide dependent protein kinase-1 (PDPK1/PDK1) phosphorylates this kinase, mediating insulin signals to the actin cytoskeleton.
Proteolytic activation by caspase-3 or related proteases during apoptosis suggests its role in apoptosis-related signaling.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
