For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Target Information
Prostaglandins are produced by the metabolism of arachidonic acid. Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is one of five physiologically significant prostanoids. Its effects are mediated through binding to Prostaglandin E2 receptors (EP1, EP2, EP3, EP4), influencing immune, endocrine, cardiovascular, renal, and reproductive systems, as well as smooth muscle function.
EP2 receptors (358 amino acids) couple to Gs proteins, stimulating adenylyl cyclase and do not undergo PGE2-induced internalization. They are mainly localized in lung, placental, and smooth muscle tissues, and play roles in contraction and relaxation of smooth muscle.
