Product Specific Information
- Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Marmoset (100%); Monkey, Bovine (88%); Mouse, Bat, Dog, Panda, Pig (81%). - For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Target Information
Prostaglandins are produced by the metabolism of arachidonic acid. Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is one of the five physiologically significant prostanoids. Its effects are mediated through binding to Prostaglandin E2 receptors (EP1, EP2, EP3, EP4), influencing immune, endocrine, cardiovascular, renal, and reproductive systems, as well as smooth muscle.
EP2 receptors are 358 amino acid proteins that stimulate adenylyl cyclase via coupling to Gs and do not undergo PGE2-induced internalization. They are mainly localized in lung and placental tissues and smooth muscle, playing roles in contraction and relaxation.
