Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CTSL1 gene encodes a lysosomal cysteine proteinase crucial for intracellular protein catabolism. Its substrates include collagen, elastin, and alpha-1 protease inhibitor, which regulates neutrophil elastase activity.
This protein is associated with pathological processes such as myofibril necrosis in myopathies, myocardial ischemia, and renal tubular response to proteinuria.
It belongs to the peptidase C1 family and forms a disulfide-linked dimer composed of heavy and light chains derived from a single precursor.
At least two transcript variants encoding the same protein are known.
