Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CHMP5 belongs to the chromatin-modifying protein/charged multivesicular body protein (CHMP) family.
These proteins are components of the ESCRT-III complex, which is involved in degradation of surface receptor proteins and formation of endocytic multivesicular bodies (MVBs).
Some CHMPs localize to both nuclear and cytoplasmic/vesicular compartments. CHMP1A, a related protein, is required for both MVB formation and regulation of cell cycle progression.
