Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Neurturin. Anti-Human Neurturin-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human Neurturin matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human Neurturin by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human Neurturin (500-P102Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human Neurturin.

Western Blot:
To detect Human Neurturin by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human Neurturin is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) plays key roles in the control of vertebrate neuron survival and differentiation. A novel neurotrophic factor, Neurturin (NTN), was cloned from human and mouse. Physiological responses to Neurturin require receptor tyrosine kinase RET and a GPI-linked receptor NTNRα (GFRα-2).
NTN binds to and forms a complex with GFRα-2 and RET, activating the RET receptor tyrosine kinase pathway. Both NTN and GDNF can activate MAP kinase and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase pathways, playing critical roles in neuronal development. Neurturin and GDNF define a new family of neurotrophic factors.
