Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Neurturin. Anti-Human Neurturin-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.
Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human Neurturin by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Neurturin (500-P102) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human Neurturin.
Western Blot:
To detect hNeurturin by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hNeurturin is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information
Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) plays key roles in the control of vertebrate neuron survival and differentiation. A novel neurotrophic factor, neurturin (NTN), was cloned from human and mouse. Physiological responses to neurturin require receptor tyrosine kinase RET and a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-linked receptor NTNRα. NTN binds to and forms a complex with GFR-α2 and the RET PTK, activating the RET receptor tyrosine kinase pathway. Both NTN and GDNF activate MAP kinase and PI3 kinase pathways, playing critical roles in neuronal development. Neurturin and GDNF define a new family of neurotrophic factors.
