• Reconstitution: Briefly centrifuge vial before opening. Reconstitute in 5 mM Tris, pH 8.0, to 0.1–1.0 mg/mL. Further dilutions should be made in aqueous buffers with 0.1–1.0% BSA.
• Storage: Lyophilized preparation stable at 2°C–8°C; store at -20°C for long term (preferably desiccated). After reconstitution, stable up to one week at 2°C–8°C. For maximal stability, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Target Information

FGF18 is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family, which possesses broad mitogenic and cell survival activities. These proteins are involved in embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion.
In vitro, FGF18 induces neurite outgrowth in PC12 cells. Studies in mouse and chick show it acts as a pleiotropic growth factor stimulating proliferation in tissues such as liver and small intestine. Knockout studies in mice indicate its role in regulating proliferation and differentiation of midline cerebellar structures.
