Target Information
IL1F9 (also known as IL-36γ) is a cytokine that binds and signals through the IL1RL2/IL-36R receptor, activating NF-κB and MAPK pathways.
It is part of the IL-36 signaling system involved in epithelial barrier inflammation and skin immune responses.
Acts on keratinocytes, dendritic cells, and T-cells to drive tissue infiltration, maturation, and proliferation.
Induces chemokine expression such as CCL3, CCL4, CCL5, CCL2, CCL17, CCL22, CXCL8, CCL20, and CXCL1, as well as TNF-α, S100A7/psoriasin, and iNOS.
May participate in neutrophilic airway inflammation and innate immune responses to fungal pathogens like Aspergillus fumigatus.
