Target Information
Cell proliferation is regulated at specific stages of the cell cycle by protein kinase complexes composed of catalytic and regulatory subunits. Cyclins, including cyclin A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, K, L, and T, act as regulatory subunits of these complexes. Cyclin B3 (CCNB3 or CYCB3) is a 1,395 amino acid nuclear protein of the cyclin family, primarily expressed in testis and at lower levels in other tissues. It is thought to play an essential role in early meiotic prophase I and meiotic cell cycle regulation. Three isoforms exist due to alternative splicing events.
