This antibody detects endogenous levels of RXR alpha only when phosphorylated at Ser260.
Target Information
Retinoic Acid (RA), the active metabolite of vitamin A, regulates the transition of proliferating precursor cells (e.g., carcinoma and neuronal precursors) to postmitotic differentiated cells. The Retinoid X Receptor (RXR) family—including RXR alpha, beta, and gamma—preferentially binds 9-cis-RA and regulates gene transcription by forming heterodimers with RA receptors. RAs may play therapeutic roles in cervical cancer and are known to be key regulators of neuronal development, synaptic plasticity, and learning and memory processes.
