Pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A, Insulin-like growth factor binding protein-4 protease, PAPP-A-proMBP complex)는 약 500 kDa 크기의 대형 heterotetrameric glycoprotein으로, 처음 임산부 혈청에서 발견되었습니다. 이 복합체는 두 개의 PAPP-A 서브유닛과 두 개의 proMBP 서브유닛으로 구성됩니다. 임신 초기 혈청 내 PAPP-A 농도가 낮을 경우, 다운증후군(Trisomy 21) 선별의 생화학적 지표로 활용됩니다.
