CSI 001-76-02은 perlecan에 대해 높은 특이성을 가지며, vitronectin, fibronectin, elastin, collagen, laminin 등 다른 결합조직 단백질과 교차 반응하지 않습니다. 단, human thrombospondin과는 교차 반응을 보입니다.

Perlecan은 기본 섬유아세포 성장인자(FGF-2)의 공동수용체로 작용하여 혈관신생 및 성장 촉진 특성을 나타냅니다.
Perlecan 억제 시 종양 성장 및 신생혈관 형성이 크게 감소하며, 종양 진행의 주요 조절 인자로서 치료적 타깃으로 주목받고 있습니다.
