Target Information

Neuronal membrane glycoprotein M6-a (GPM6A) is encoded by the GPM6A gene in humans. It is involved in neuronal differentiation, migration of neuronal stem cells, and neuronal plasticity.
GPM6A contributes to neurite and filopodia outgrowth, filopodia motility, and possibly synapse formation.
Its activity involves MAPK and Src signaling pathways, and may regulate NGF-dependent Ca²⁺ influx, endocytosis, and intracellular trafficking of GPCRs, enhancing internalization and recycling of mu-type opioid receptors.
