Target Information
This gene belongs to the semaphorin family and encodes a protein containing an Ig-like C2-type domain, a PSI domain, and a Sema domain. The secreted protein can act as either a chemorepulsive or chemoattractive agent, regulating neuronal pattern development. Elevated expression is linked to schizophrenia and various tumor cell lines, and abnormal release is associated with Alzheimer's disease progression.
